changing secondary prof. post searing - Guild Wars Forums

I was wondering if when I change the profession by doing a quest like The Monk's Quest, do I get all my old skill points back?

No, you have to earn new skill points to buy new skills. Your old skills will still be available to you however, if you choose to change back to what you were before.

Once you are "ascended" (completed the desert), go back and find those three outposts listed above. These ghost NPC's will give you quests that you can go on. Should you decide not to change professions, you can always come back and do it later without the troublesome questing.

How many times can one change thier secondary?

Yeah, id also like to know how many times you can change your secondary.

As many times as you want, as often as you want, and you only have to run the quest for each profession once. Each of the quests adds it's profession to a list and whenever you want to change, you just go talk to any of the 6 profession quest givers and tell 'em "make me XX" and it's done. And when you change your secondary profession, you are refunded all the attribute point you had in the secondary for free (nice!). All the skills you've ever gotten, you will remember. If you change your secondary, you lose ACCESS to the old secondary's skills, but if you change back, you will have them again. They really made changing secondary professions a snap.
